Frog leg Festival 17-20 Jan 2013, Fellsmere, Florida. Fun, music, and yes frog legs.
International Snow Sculpture Championship 26 Jan - 3 Feb is the viewing dates, weather permitting. This festival is held in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Mighty Mud Mania Scottsdale, Arizona. I couldn't find 2013 information on this but it looks like loads of slippy sloppy fun. If you are in the area, check it out for a messy muddy obstacle course.
International Outhouse Race 19 Jan 2013, Mackinaw, Michigan. I refuse to use one, but I decorate my bathroom with them, and this would just be fun to see.
